Hi, I’m Bruno Zub. I’m moving into a full-time IT career after taking the scenic route, trading traditional classrooms for hands-on, real-world experience.
I’m originally from Brazil, where I started out in civil engineering at 17. That experience gave me a great foundation for breaking down complex problems, but I eventually realised the field just wasn't for me. My love for exploration (and a desire to master English) led me to London, where I ended up building a career in professional video editing.
That industry was a masterclass in how to communicate clearly, manage chaos, hit unforgiving deadlines, and explain technical concepts to clients in plain English. The freedom of that career eventually led me back across the ocean to Argentina, where I added Spanish to my toolkit.
If my background proves anything, it’s that I know how to drop into the deep end, figure things out, and thrive. Now, I’m pointing all that adaptability directly at IT infrastructure.
I’m entirely self-taught. I spend my days in my homelab automating systems, untangling networking issues, and diving deep into Linux, Docker, Proxmox, and the Cloud. Not just reading documentation, but actually deploying things and breaking them on purpose just to learn how to fix them from the ground up.
I bring a decade of experience managing clients, navigating roadblocks, and finding creative solutions without hand-holding. I’m now looking for a team where I can bring that autonomy and grit to real-world infrastructure.
When I’m able to pull myself away from the screen, you can find me cycling (feel free to follow me on Strava), slowly losing the battle against my gaming backlog, or trying to convince my cat that my keyboard isn't her bed.
Have a look around. Always down to swap notes on a project or talk shop about homelabs. If you’re looking for a fresh perspective for your team, I’m currently open to new opportunities and would love to hear from you.
